Adefunke Ekine Ph.D is the Deputy Director Directorate of Research and External Relations at Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State, Nigeria. She is also an Associate Professor of Childhood Education with research interest in Play, early childhood, girls education, curriculum development and STEM.
Adefunke was an Echidna Global Scholar at The Brookings Institution, USA in 2013.She is a board member of many schools and NGOs in Nigeria.
As an advocate of children’s right to play she joined IPA world as a member and has attended two conferences in Durban, South Africa and in Calgary where she presented on indigenous play and children in conflict. She is also a member of OMEP, and she is a conference speaker and has published in both local and international journals. She oversees two preschools in Nigeria and has worked with children for over twenty five years.
