Join the OMEP Nigeria 38th conference themed “When A Child Speaks: Empowering Every Child Through Care, Inclusion & Participation”

Every meaningful transformation begins with a voice that is heard. Children may be the youngest members of our society, but they often carry the biggest dreams, the most honest observations, and the most innovative ideas. Yet, too often, their voices are overlooked in conversations that directly shape their lives.

This year, the Organisation Mondiale pour l’Éducation Préscolaire (OMEP) Nigeria, in collaboration with the Department of Childhood Education, Tai Solarin Federal University of Education (TASFUED), Ijebu-Ode, proudly presents the 38th Annual National Conference 2026 under the thought-provoking theme:

“When A Child Speaks: Empowering Every Child Through Care, Inclusion & Participation.”

Date: 26th – 30th October, 2026

Children flourish when they are listened to. From classrooms and homes to healthcare systems and public policy, creating spaces where children can freely express themselves is essential to nurturing confident, resilient and responsible citizens. The 2026 OMEP Nigeria Conference brings together leading academics, educators, policymakers, researchers, development partners, parents and child advocates to explore practical strategies for ensuring that every child’s voice informs the decisions that affect their wellbeing.

The conference will examine how inclusive education, child participation, emotional wellbeing, digital safety, health systems and community partnerships can collectively build a society where every child is valued and empowered. Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn from renowned scholars and practitioners including:
